Mummy G.O Tightens Security, Deploys “Holy” Police to Secure Church.

 

Funmilayo Adebayo popular known as Mummy G.O is a 51- year-old, a Nigerian, who was born 15 June 1970. Mummy G.O is the founder of a church called Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God in Lagos, Nigeria. She became popular for her controversial messages and preaching that has gone viral on the social media platforms, has deployed ‘holy police to survey the area and prevent new faces, nosy strangers from intruding the church.

According to the report gathered, the holy police was instructed to seize phones, delete photos and videos of anyone who attempts to pull a fast one. A resident of the area, Evelyn Owolabi reacts to the sudden increase of new faces in the neighbourhood.

She said, it’s shocking. I don’t even understand what is going on and why people are rushing here. I don’t attend the church. She told premium times reporters.

The church founder became famous by her constant sermons and teachings about the afterlife of humanity. In one of her videos, she had said that the dance steps of a late renowned musician Micheal Jackson were originated from the ‘’land of the dead’’.

After been spotted many, the outspoken evangelist has carefully avoided the public by staying away from church activities. Although the reason for her absence has not been revealed, many believed that Mummy G.O is concerned about her safety.

 During her interview with the BBC Mummy G.O, who feigned ignorance of her viral sermons, stated that people threatened her because of her end-time preaching. She also inferred that the videos making the rounds on social media are fake. ‘’Even Satan will not say those things talk less of someone that calls herself a holiness preacher’’.

According to the evangelist, the perpetrators of those viral videos sought after her life. She said they had started eight years ago through a magazine, but it did not result in much. Thus, they resorted to social media.
